DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A 76-year-old Delray Beach man is facing a battery on a senior charge after he allegedly knocked an 86-year-old man to the ground inside the Publix at 13680 Jog Road. That’s the Publix near Jog and Lake Ida.
According to a police report obtained by BocaNewsNow.com, Michael Feinman of the 14000 block of Shadow Wood Lane in Delray Beach was waiting in line at the Publix customer service counter when the 86-year-old man in front of him turned around and accidentally bumped into him. That’s when multiple witnesses say that Feinman “used two open palms to shove (the victim) to the ground.”
The alleged vicitim, according to police, sustained head, hip, and elbow injuries as a result of the fall. He was transported to Delray Medical Center for emergency care.

Publix management told police they knew the suspect because he’s a regular customer in the store. Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office deputies later presented a photo line up to the victim who, according to police, positively identified Michael Feinman as the person who knocked him to the ground. Feinman was later arrested at this home and booked into the Palm Beach County Jail. Bond was set at $5,000.
A hearing is now set for January 8th where prosecutors are set to officially file charges stemming from the November 29th incident.
