BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A convicted felon who lists an address in the G.L. Homes community of Lotus in West Boca Raton as his home is actually living in the Palm Beach County Jail Wednesday morning.

Nicholus Martiz of the 8100 block of Laurel Fall Drive is being held without bond on two charges: procession of a weapon or ammunition by a convicted felon, and “alter identification of a weapon/remove serial number from firearm.” He was taken into custody Tuesday afternoon by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.

While the arrest report continues to be processed Christmas Eve, court records obtained by BocaNewsNow.com indicate that Martiz is in the midst of a felony domestic battery case. He was arrested in April of 2025 and charged with simple assault, possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without the intent to kill. Court records did not indicate what led to Martiz’s felon designation in Florida.

The home he occupies in the Lotus community is owned by woman with a different last name, according to public records. It’s unclear if she is related to Martiz or if she is renting to the convicted felon.
