Boca Raton Fire Rescue, Police Respond To Early Morning Leak.
UPDATE at 7:31 — The problem is solved. Military Trail has reopened.
BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Military Trail and in the area of Town Center Road is closed Friday morning due to a gas leak. The closure was confirmed by the Boca Raton Police Department around 5:20 a.m.
Boca Raton Fire Rescue and other first responders were called to the area for a smell of the odor associated with natural gas. They confirmed the smell in the area and isolated the leak to a specific location. However, Florida Public Utilites did not immediately respond. The area is just south of Glades Road.
Expect Military Trail in the area of Town Center to be closed throughout the first part of the morning. We will update once we receive either more information about the leak, or confirmation that Military Trail has reopened.
