BROWARD COUNTY, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — If you’re heading into Broward County, Miami-Dade County, or expect to drive across Alligator Alley this morning, you may need to make other plans. I-75 is closed southbound in Broward County due to a major crash.
The closure is at I-75 and Glades. We note this is Glades in Broward, not Boca Raton. All traffic is being diverted off of I-75 at Glades/Arvida Parkway in Broward. The crash was first reported shortly after midnight. The closure continues as of 5:45 a.m. There is also extreme fog in the area, making the bad situation worse.
Here are the two updates from FDOT early Wednesday: “Multi-vehicle crash in Broward County on I-75 South, beyond Exit 22: Glades/Arvida Pkwy. All lanes closed. Last updated at 05:30 AM. Road Ranger Ahead. Move Over or Slow Down.”
