BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A Delray Beach man is facing serious felony drug charges after Boca Raton Police discovered dozens of loose prescription pills inside his vehicle during a DUI investigation. Connor Dennis Morris, 31, was arrested and charged with trafficking in Oxycodone following a forensic analysis of the substances found in his possession during a summer traffic stop. He lives in the G.L. Homes-built community of Dakota on U.S. 441 at Atlantic Avenue.

The investigation began on August 11, 2025, when a Boca Raton Police Officer responded to reports of a driver passed out behind the wheel near 1185 SW 8th Street. Upon contact with the police, Morris reportedly exited the vehicle while carrying a gray and purple backpack, which he later placed back onto the driver’s seat. After Morris declined immediate medical attention, officers conducted a DUI investigation that led to his initial arrest and a subsequent search of his vehicle.

During an inventory search of the car, officers say they found a variety of loose pills in the center console and the front pocket of the backpack. The collection included white, green, yellow, blue, and orange tablets, none of which were stored in prescription bottles. While Morris initially claimed the pills belonged to a family member, police noted that the individual mentioned was only prescribed medications that did not match the items found at the scene. Morris allegedly admitted that a urine test would likely show the presence of Oxycodone and other substances in his system.

The case against Morris just moved forward after the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office Crime Laboratory completed its analysis of the evidence. According to the probable cause affidavit, the lab confirmed that 31 white tablets marked “RP 10 325” were Oxycodone, with a total weight of 11.7191 grams. Under Florida law, possessing more than seven grams of the substance triggers a trafficking charge. Morris is now facing a first-degree felony, with the case officially filed with the State Attorney’s Office.
