BROKEN IN BROKEN SOUND! Bagel Twins Also Named As Defendant. “DEFECTIVE BAGEL!”

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A Boca Raton woman is suing a Broken Sound Country Club and the operators of “Bagel Twins” after allegedly biting into a “hard object” hidden inside her food, resulting in what she claims are severe and permanent injuries. The complaint, filed Wednesday in Palm Beach County Circuit Court, names Broken Sound Club, Inc., as well as several corporate entities doing business as Bagel Twins, as defendants. The plaintiff, Pamela Sacks, is seeking damages in excess of $50,000, alleging that the establishment failed to ensure the safety of the food it served.
According to the lawsuit reviewed by BocaNewsNow.com, the incident occurred on January 22, 2024, at the property located at 2401 Willow Springs Drive in Boca Raton. Sacks claims she was lawfully on the premises when she received a bagel that contained an internal defect described only as a “hard object.” The complaint asserts that biting into the object caused serious injuries to her head, neck, back, body, and limbs. Attorneys for Sacks state that she has incurred significant medical bills and suffered from pain, disability, and a loss of enjoyment of life due to the incident.
The suit alleges that by failing to inspect the bagel given to Sacks, Broken Sound and Bagel Twins created a “hazard and a trap” for invitees. It further claims the bagel was “unreasonably dangerous” and unfit for human consumption, as a typical customer would not expect to inspect a bagel for hidden, dangerous objects before eating it.
Sacks is demanding a jury trial and seeking compensation for past and future medical expenses, lost earning capacity, and physical and emotional pain and suffering. The lawsuit targets Broken Sound Club, Inc., AAP Restaurant LLC, and DDS Restaurant Corporation, Incorporated, claiming all parties played a role in the distribution or sale of the defective product. Bagel Twins, according to the suit, is on Broken Sound property. As of the filing date, the defendants have not submitted a response to the allegations.
