BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The suspect in the death of a person found in a home on Golf Vista Way in unincorporated Boca Raton was found dead himself, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office. PBSO provided new details to BocaNewsNow.com Sunday morning.
As we reported on Friday, a welfare check revealed a dead person in the 6000 block of Golf Vista Way on Friday. That led to a massive SWAT team response as witnesses claimed to see a man with a gun roaming the area. However, the man with the gun was actually an iguana hunter working for a local homeowner’s association and had nothing to do with the crime.
While the man with the gun with unrelated to the situation, another person apparently was. He was later found with a self-inflected gunshot wound, according to PBSO. Police have not released the names of anyone involved.
“There is no threat to the public,” said a PBSO spokesperson Sunday morning.
