COPS: “SUSPECT IS NO LONGER A THREAT.”

GREENACRES, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office just told BocaNewsNow.com at 11:20 a.m. that a woman shot and killed another woman in Greenacres, then turned the gun on herself. SWAT was seen in the area. Here is the official statement:
>> Shortly after 7:00 a.m., deputies responded to a report of shots fired in the 500 block of Shady Pine Way in Greenacres. Upon arrival, deputies located one female deceased at the scene and a second female suffering from gunshot wounds. The injured female was transported to a local hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries.

The suspect retreated into his residence, and deputies attempted to make contact and have him exit the home. After receiving no response, the PBSO SWAT Team was requested to respond. During SWAT’s assessment of the situation, it was determined that the suspect was NO longer a threat.
Detectives from the Violent Crimes Division are currently on scene executing a residential search warrant. This remains an active and ongoing investigation. There is NO threat to the community at this time.<<
