BocaNewsNow.com received several inquiries from concerned readers who wanted to know if something was on fire. The smoke was probably a giveaway, but it turns out there was a fire. A brush fire. All part of a prescribed burn in the area.
The fire was burning to clear brush in a field just off of U.S. 441, as construction continues in the area. The burn was previously approved and never out of control. Palm Beach County Fire Rescue was called to the scene but ultimately determined there was nothing to worry about.
We’ve learned the fire is in the process of burning itself out. It may smell like smoke in the are for the next few hours, but there is nothing to worry about.
