The enforcement operation was successful — netting a high volume of citations and stops.
Over a six hour window — from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday, deputies conducted a specialized Speed & Aggressive Driving Enforcement Operation. The high-visibility sweep targeted drivers violating Florida State Statutes related to excessive speed and aggressive maneuvers. Here are the numbers:
• 172 Traffic Stops
• 161 Traffic Citations
• 128 Traffic Warnings
• 13 Criminal Citations
PBSO says the entire county was targeted for the enforcement operation. The sheriff’s office routinely conducts speed and aggressive enforcement operations which it announces several days in advance.
