BMW and Toyota Fire Risk
The largest of the new alerts involves a fire hazard affecting nearly 90,000 vehicles. BMW of North America is recalling several models because the starter motor may overheat, potentially causing a fire. This recall (26V056) uniquely includes the 2021-2023 Toyota Supra, which shares a platform with BMW models. Affected BMW models include:
• 3 Series, 4 Series, and 5 Series (2021-2024).
• X3 and X4 (2021-2023).
• Z4 (2021-2022).
• 230i (2022-2023).
Brands Recalled Due To Manufacturing And Other Issues
• Toyota: A separate recall for 2023-2026 Prius and Prius Prime models warns that unlocked rear doors may open unexpectedly while the vehicle is in motion.
• Chrysler (FCA US, LLC): Owners of 2021-2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee and Grand Cherokee L models are warned that rear coil springs may detach. Additionally, Chrysler is recalling 2025-2026 Ram trucks and 2026 Jeep Cherokees due to trailer brake failures.
• Honda/Acura: The 2023-2024 Honda Accord, HR-V, Pilot, and Acura Integra are being recalled for improperly tightened driver’s seat frames.
• Lamborghini: The 2024-2025 Revuelto faces a recall because the rearview camera image may fail to display.
Braking and Steering Problems
• Ducati: Multiple 2025-2026 Panigale V4 and Streetfighter V4 motorcycles are under recall for a total loss of rear brakes.
• FWMOTO (Fly E-Bike): The FLY-10 (2022-2024) is cited for insufficient braking performance and missing DOT markings.
• Pierce Manufacturing: Several 2025 fire truck models, including the Arrow XT and Enforcer, are being recalled because the steering linkage arm may detach.
