Rebecca Debra Last, 37, was taken into custody after police were called to The Ray Hotel on NE 2nd Avenue to investigate reports of a domestic disturbance. According to arrest records, hotel staff discovered a naked woman in the hallway outside a third-floor guest room. The naked woman was fleeing and seeking help.
Officers on the scene allegedly found Rebecca Last trying to leave the lobby with a backpack. A police report reviewed by BocaNewsNow.com suggested that Last appeared intoxicated, showing signs of glassy eyes and smelling of alcohol. While Last claimed she was leaving because her partner was acting “crazy” after taking too much medication, investigators found visible scratches on Last’s collarbone and forearm. She reportedly told officers she wanted to leave the hotel because the situation was “someone else’s problem”.
Investigators say they found the hotel room with pills scattered across the floor, empty alcohol bottles in the trash, and a broken toilet seat. The victim told police that Last had bitten her, pulled out fistfuls of hair, and struck her with a 25-ounce glass water bottle. The victim also alleged that when she tried to call for emergency assistance, Last snatched her cell phone and threw it into the toilet to prevent her from reaching 911.

Last was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail on multiple felony charges, including domestic aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and tampering with a witness by depriving the of the use of 911. Last is free on $10,000 bond following her February 6th arrest. She lives in the 9300 block of Gettysburg Road in Boca Raton.
