BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Ballots for Vote By Mail, a popular and completely legitimate way to vote in Palm Beach County, are on their way to registered voters who requested a mail-in ballot. The Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections issued a statement announcing that ballots are now en route, and offering instructions to make sure your vote counts. We are publishing the announcement as we received it:

>> The Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections Office mailed over 12,000 Vote-by-Mail ballots to voters who are eligible to vote and requested to vote by mail in the March 24, 2026, Special Elections, which include the Special General Election for Florida House District 87 and the Village of North Palm Beach Special Election. The Elections Office has been mailing Vote-by-Mail ballots for the 2026 Uniform Municipal Elections over the past two weeks.

Voters eligible for both the March 10, 2026 Municipal Elections and the House District 87 Special General Election may receive two separate Vote-by-Mail ballots, each with its own return envelope. Each ballot must be returned in its matching envelope to be counted. Voters eligible to vote in the Village of North Palm Beach and House District 87 will see both races on the same ballot.

“Because multiple elections are taking place this March, some voters will receive more than one Vote-by-Mail ballot,” said Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections Wendy Sartory Link. “It’s very important that voters carefully follow the instructions included with their ballots.”

Important Vote-by-Mail Instructions

Each Vote-by-Mail ballot is paired with a marked return envelope using a colored stripe that corresponds to the specific election:

  • YELLOW = MUNICIPAL ELECTION. The Municipal Election ballot and return envelope are marked with a YELLOW stripe. Voters should return their Municipal Election ballot ONLY in the return envelope marked with a YELLOW stripe.
  • PURPLE= HOUSE DISTRICT 87/NORTH PALM BEACH SPECIAL ELECTION. The House District 87/North Palm Beach Special Election ballot and return envelope are marked with a PURPLE stripe. Voters should return their House District 87/North Palm Beach Special Election ballot ONLY in the return envelope marked with a PURPLE stripe.

Voters should remember:

  • Do not place two ballots in the same envelope.
  • Do not return a ballot in the wrong envelope.
  • Sign the Voter Certificate on the outside of each return envelope.
  • Returning a ballot in the incorrect envelope may prevent it from being counted.

Returning a Vote-by-Mail Ballot

Voters can return their Vote-by-Mail ballot using pre-paid postage, drop it off inside any of our four offices during business hours, or drop it off at a Secure Ballot Intake Station. Special Election voters may also drop off their completed Vote-by-Mail ballot at Early Voting locations during Early Voting hours. All Vote-by-Mail ballots must be returned to our Main Office by 7:00 p.m. or by 5:00 p.m. to a Branch Office or Secure Ballot Intake Station on Election Day to be counted.
