PALM SPRINGS, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A Palm Springs man died early Sunday morning in a violent single-vehicle wreck in West Palm Beach. According to investigators from the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Division, 38-year-old Angel Felipe Rojas Gabriel was killed when his car veered off the road and struck a concrete barrier.

The crash occurred around 1:35 a.m. at the intersection of Haverhill Road and Cresthaven Boulevard. Rojas Gabriel was driving a 2017 Honda Accord northbound on Haverhill Road at what deputies described as a high rate of speed. As the road curved to the left, Rojas Gabriel failed to negotiate the turn, sending the sedan off the pavement and onto the grassy shoulder.

The Honda continued traveling off-road and slammed into a concrete barrier wall. Police say the impact caused the vehicle to mount the wall and overturn before finally coming to a rest. Rojas Gabriel, who was not using any safety equipment at the time, was pronounced dead at the scene.

While the investigation is ongoing, PBSO crash investigators said that alcohol or drugs are suspected to be a factor in the collision.
