
PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A Lake Worth man is facing a battery charge after allegedly getting into an altercation with a woman protesting outside the Trump National Golf Course. The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office Monday issued this statement about the arrest of Paul Arthur Messer of Pisano Drive:
>> Paul Messer was actively participating in a protest across from Trump International Golf Course, located at 3560 Summit Blvd., West Palm Beach. During the protest, Messer was holding a flag attached to a metal flagpole when he became involved in a verbal dispute with another protester.

The argument escalated, and deputies observed Messer strike the female multiple times in the upper chest and neck area with the metal flagpole. The victim stumbled backward and sustained visible redness to the right side of her neck. Paul Messer was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Palm Beach County Jail. <<
It was not immediately clear what Messer was protesting.
