Crossing Arms Stuck Again At Tracks On Palmetto Park Road

An unhappy woman is apparently yelling at cars early Wednesday morning after realizing the gates on Palmetto Park Road are stuck in the down position near I-95.

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — For what we believe is at least the fifth time in two weeks, the railroad crossing gates are stuck again in the closed position on Palmetto Park Road. Tipsters say this is westbound at Dixie.

Making matters worse, our tipster this morning said a woman is out of her car just after 6:15 a.m., apparently yelling at the gates — and cars around her — trying to figure out how to get to the other side.

The Boca Raton Police Department has not yet issued an alert for the downed gates, although we expect that soon if the problem continues.

There have been several gate failures over the past several weeks at the tracks on Glades Road and Palmetto Park Road.
