The swim ban at two beaches in Boca Raton is now lifted.

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The swimming ban put in place Wednesday for beaches in Boca Raton is now lifted, according to the Florida Department of Health. Bacteria levels are now low enough that swimming is safe.

This is the official statement we shared yesterday, moments after it was issued: “>> The Florida Department of Health (FDOH) of Palm Beach County conducts regular beach water quality sampling and has posted a Health Advisory for Spanish River and South Inlet beaches.

A recent sampling showed elevated bacterial levels in the water. As a precaution, swimming at Spanish River and South Inlet* beaches is PROHIBITED until further notice, however, the park and beach will remain open
