PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A recovery room nurse from Boynton Beach, working at the Palm Wellington Surgical Center, is facing multiple charges after police say he sexually battered two victims. The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office issued this advisory Sunday morning, is asking anyone who believes they were victimized by this suspect to come forward:
>> After receiving two complaints, detectives initiated an investigation into allegations of sexual battery, of two females, committed by Joel Vega, a recovery room nurse at Palms Wellington Surgical Center, 400 block of N. State Road 7, Royal Palm Beach.
Following a thorough investigation, detectives established probable cause and, on February 20, 2026, arrested Joel Vega, 34 years of age, on the charges listed below. Detectives believe there may be additional victims.
