Flight cancellations are again rising at South Florida airports.

UPDATE at 5:08 p.m. — Much like yesterday, most of the day’s cancelled flights were cancelled early in the day, so the numbers below are roughly the same as they are Tuesday evening. Things should start to get better on Wednesday.

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Not that people tend to want to leave South Florida, but today is going to be another challenging day for those who do. That massive winter storm in the northeast is again leading to a huge number of flight cancellations at Miami Internaitonal Airport, Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International, and Palm Beach International.

At FLL: 91 flights have been cancelled as of 6:30 a.m., with JetBlue, Spirit, and Delta leading the pack. United and American also report cancelled flights.

At PBI: 51 flights are already cancelled for the day, with JetBlue alone cancelling 34. Delta, United, Spirit, American, and Southwest are also grounding several flights.

At MIA: 50 flights are cancelled as of 6:30 a.m., with American responsible for 24. MIA is a major hub for American Airlines. Delta cancelled 14 flights out of Miami, with United and Spirit also on the list.

Airlines are not responsible for lodging or food when flights are delayed or cancelled due to weather, but you should be able to refund your ticket — without any fee or penalty — once your flight is officially cancelled, if you choose.
