BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The deadline to request a vote-by-mail ballot — a completely legitimate way of voting in Palm Beach County — is today at 5 p.m. The Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections issued this advisory Thursday morning:
>>The deadline to request that a Vote-by-Mail ballot be mailed to you for the 2026 Uniform Municipal Elections is 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 26, 2026. Election Day is Tuesday, March 10, 2026. Only voters residing in precincts within participating municipalities are eligible to vote in Municipal Elections. Voters are encouraged to check the My Status or Precinct Finder page at VotePalmBeach.gov to view their upcoming elections.
IMPORTANT: All Vote-by-Mail requests submitted before the 2024 General Election expired on December 31, 2024. To vote by mail in an election through 2026, a voter must submit a new request.
Requesting a Vote-by-Mail Ballot
Vote-by-Mail ballot requests can be made online at VotePalmBeach.gov, by calling (561) 656-6208, or in person at any of our four Elections Offices.
Returning a Vote-by-Mail Ballot
Vote-by-Mail ballots can be returned by mail using pre-paid postage, dropped off inside any of our four offices or at a Secure Ballot Intake Station during business hours.
All Vote-by-Mail ballots must be received by 7:00 p.m. at our Main Office on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, or 5:00 p.m. at a Branch Office or Secure Ballot Intake Station.
Tracking a Vote-by-Mail Ballot
Voters are encouraged to sign up for BallotTrax to receive regular updates on the status of their Vote-by-Mail ballot. Voters simply enter their information, choose their preferred method of receiving updates (email, text, and/or voice calls), and specify their preferred messaging time. Sign up at VotePalmBeach.gov.
2026 Uniform Municipal Elections
- Election Day is Tuesday, March 10, 2026
- Deadline to register to vote was Monday, February 9, 2026
- Vote-by-Mail request deadline is 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 26, 2026
- Early Voting is not available for the March 10, 2026 Municipal Elections
- Vote-by-Mail ballot return deadline is 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, to the Main Office, or 5:00 p.m. to a Branch Office or Secure Ballot Intake Station
- Municipal Runoff Elections (if necessary) will be Tuesday, March 24, 2026
