EXCLUSIVE: Juror Tells BocaNewsNow.com Vote Was 10-2 To CONVICT Seven Bridges Homeowner.
JUROR: “VICTIM IS COMPLETELY UNLIKEABLE, BUT STILL A VICTIM OF A SICK OLDER MAN.”

BY: ANDREW COLTON | Editor and Publisher DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The 68-year-old Seven Bridges homeowner charged with transporting a minor from her home in Iowa to his home in West Delray Beach for sex is free for now. According to a juror speaking exclusively with BocaNewsNow.com, it was two women on the jury who refused to convict Ron Frankel. His trial ended in a hung jury on Wednesday.
The juror, who we are not identifying, said other jurors found the conduct of the women jurors to be abhorrent and that they seemed to be “grandstanding” instead of following the law or the Court’s instructions. Men on the panel, according to our source, all voted to convict Frankel. But the women wouldn’t budge.
In a statement to BocaNewsNow.com, Ron Frankel’s Defense Attorneys said the women got it right.
“The complaining witness admitted that she lied to Tinder about her age, lied to Ron about her age, lied to other men about her age, lied to her own mom, and even lied to the jury. She also admitted that she wanted a sugar daddy and could have ended this relationship at any moment. She said she made the decision to travel to Florida. Ron did not cause her to do so.” The statement is signed David Oscar Markus, Lauren Krasnoff, and Lauren Perez — Frankel’s attorneys at the Markus/Moss law firm.

According to our juror source, and documents reviewed by BocaNewsNow.com, the case came down to this question: what caused the 17-year-old girl from West Des Moines to get on a plane to fly to Florida? As we reported, Frankel used Tinder to find young women seeking a “Sugar Daddy,” and believed the girl was at least 18 — a requirement by Tinder to join. He is said to have sent her $1000 for a $320 ticket. She apparently pocketed the rest.
But she was never forced to do anything, according to defense attorneys. And that’s the issue: did Frankel “cause” her to get on the plane to have sex him with in his Seven Bridges Delray Beach home, or did the girl make the decision on her own?
“The victim was completely unlikable,” said our source on the jury. “But she is still a 17-year-old victim, at least in the eyes of ten of us. We hope the Department of Justice tries this case again.”
The DOJ Attorney assigned to the case did not respond to an inquiry from BocaNewsNow.com seeking case status. BocaNewsNow.com has also reached out to the victim’s mother for comment.
