THE GAME “SENIOR ASSASSIN” CAN LEAD TO DEATH. DON’T PLAY.

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — In a split second, a police officer — no matter how well trained — may not know that the fake gun you’re holding is actually fake. That can lead to death. Boca Raton PD just issued this “public service announcement” to parents and students in Palm Beach County. We are publishing it as written:
“A popular game among high school students called “Senior Assassin,” where teens bring water, airsoft or any other real-looking toy guns to school or other public places, is not just a game…it has real life consequences.
Nothing remotely resembling a weapon should be thought of as a joke, as those toy guns could easily be mistaken for real weapons and cause unnecessary panic.
There are many games, pranks and other practical jokes that can get a few laughs for senior year. Guns, fake or not, should not be involved.
Students, please think twice before engaging in this activity. Parents, please ensure that this message reaches your children.”
We remind you that the Palm Beach County School District has a ZERO tolerance policy for weapons or anything that looks like a weapon. You seemingly innocent game with a fake gun could lead to suspension, expulsion, rescinding of a college acceptance, and of course injury or death.
