BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A woman apparently suffered some sort of a medical issue Sunday afternoon and drove her car into a building in East Boca.
Several people reached out to our newsroom to ask what happened. Here’s what we know: the woman, believed to be in her 20s or 30s, seemingly suffered some sort of medical situation that incapacitated her ability to control the car. There is no indication that anything malicious was intended.
Upon losing control of the vehicle, the car drove into — or very close to — the strip of stores and a Korean restaurant at 159 East Palmetto Park Road. No one was injured on the sidewalk or in any of the establishments. It’s not clear how much damage was actually caused.
Boca Raton Fire Rescue paramedics rushed to the scene and then rushed the woman to Boca Raton Regional Hospital around 2:10 p.m.
