BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Welcome to another fun week of traffic trouble in Palm Beach County, courtesy of FDOT and Palm Beach County Public Works and Engineering — two entities who literally pave the roads to paradise. Sadly, the paving often leads to massive delays and closures. That’s true this week. Here’s what you can expect around the region:
Interstate 95
• Boynton Beach Blvd Interchange Improvements: Includes all mainline lane closures, turn lane closures, stop-on-red traffic pattern changes, and the four full nightly ramp closures with their specific detours.
• Ramps Safety Improvement Project: Includes all four “High Friction” ramp closures scheduled for March 2 through March 5 at Indiantown Road, PGA Boulevard, and Okeechobee Boulevard.
• Maintenance Repairs: Includes the specific lane closures for bridge repairs at Clint Moore Road, 10th Avenue, Indiantown Road, and Central Boulevard.
Southern Palm Beach County
• U.S. 441/S.R. 7 (Glades to Bridgebrook): Includes lane closures for sodding and lighting.
• S.R. A1A/South Ocean Blvd (Linton to Atlantic): Includes daily lane closures and flagging operations.
• S.R. A1A/South Ocean Blvd Resurfacing (Highland Beach/Delray): Includes intermittent closures for swale and paving work.
• S.R. 806/Atlantic Avenue Reconstruction: Includes all U.S. 441 widening work, nightly Atlantic Ave drainage/striping, Smith Sundy Road reconstruction, and the specific sidewalk closures.
• Atlantic Ave & Homewood Blvd: Includes closures for signalization work through March 6.
Central Palm Beach County
• Boynton Beach Blvd (Orchid Grove to Palm Isles): Includes both the single-lane and double-lane night closures.
• Boynton Inlet Bridge: Includes sidewalk closures for under-bridge work.
• U.S. 1/Belvedere to Okeechobee: Notes all lanes are currently open.
• S.R. A1A/South Ocean Blvd (Lake Ave to Ibis Way): Includes the daily/nightly flagging and the associated Lake Avenue lane closures.
• S.R. A1A/South Ocean Blvd (Emerald Beach to Royal Palm Way): Includes maintenance flagging and the Mar-a-Lago traffic circle right-of-way rules.
Northern Palm Beach County
• U.S. 1/S.R. 5 Roadway Improvements: Includes daily/nightly lane closures and the long-term sidewalk closure at W 11th Street.
• Beeline Highway (S.R. 710) Reconstruction: Includes all lane closures, the full NW ramp closure to Northlake Blvd, the left turn closure to Blue Heron Blvd, and the Florida’s Turnpike overnight closures.
• Alternate A1A (RCA to Donald Ross): Includes daytime signalization work and nightly thermoplastic/asphalt work.
• Earman River Bridge Replacement: Includes the current traffic shift, the advance notice for the March 16 shift, and the river channel closure.
• PGA Boulevard Drawbridges: Includes the single right lane closures through March 4.
Western Palm Beach County
• S.R. 80/Southern Blvd & U.S. 441 Ramps: Includes the continuous bridge widening closure on NB S.R. 7, nightly ramp closures, and the March 12 full road closure advance notice for Southern Blvd.
• S.R. 15/E Main Street (Pahokee): Includes intermittent lane closures for road construction.
• U.S. 27/S.R. 25 (EAA Reservoir): Includes single lane closures, the traffic shift, and the speed limit reduction to 55 mph.
Florida’s Turnpike (S.R. 91)
• Interchanges: Includes Boynton Beach Blvd (Exit 86), the continuous Southern Blvd bridge widening closure, and the Okeechobee Blvd pile driving closures.
