Truly A Hit And Run As Driver Flees Scene On Foot.

PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A hit-and-run crash early Saturday morning at a busy West Palm Beach intersection left two people hospitalized, one with critical injuries, while the driver responsible remains at large after fleeing the scene on foot. The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating the collision, which occurred around 4:08 AM at the intersection of Forest Hill Boulevard and Military Trail. Investigators say the incident began when a 2013 Toyota Highlander traveling southbound slammed into the back of a 2020 Honda Accord that was stopped at the light.
The force of the impact was so severe that both vehicles were projected through the intersection. According to the Palm Beach Countuy Sheriff’s Office, the Toyota failed to decelerate or take any evasive maneuvers before striking the rear of the Honda. While the Toyota eventually came to a rest on the western side of the intersection, the Honda rotated 180 degrees, ultimately facing north in the southwest corner of the crossing.
The driver of the Toyota fled the scene on foot, heading eastbound before deputies arrived. The occupants of the Honda, identified as 48-year-old Amando Dinzey and 49-year-old Elba Torres, both of Port Saint Lucie, were rushed to St. Mary’s Medical Center for treatment. Officials say that Dinzey sustained critical injuries in the crash, while Torres is listed in serious condition.
Both vehicles involved in the wreck have been recovered by authorities as the investigation continues. Please contact Investigator Schneider at SchneiderJ@pbso.org, 561-681-4535 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-458-TIPS (8477) if you have any information.
