She told her son on Monday to move his car so she could leave their home in West Boynton Beach and go to Costco. But he wouldn’t. So like all loving moms, she held a knife to her son’s throat to convince him to do what he’s told.
At least that’s the claim in a Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office police report obtained and reviewed by BocaNewsNow.com. Maria Hernandez was arrested on Monday and charged with Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon.
Maria Hernandez’s son admits that he said something not nice to his mother as she started demanding that his car be moved. But it apparently wasn’t the sort of thing that traditionally leads a mom in her 80s to hold a knife to her son’s throat. There was someone else in the house who called police. That person confirmed the story to investigators.
Maria Hernandez was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail where she was held for just under a day before being released Tuesday night on $2,000 bond. A court date is pending.
