Delray Beach Senior Living Community Keeps Palm Beach County Jail In Business.

DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Congratulations to Kings Point Delray Beach resident Maria Zimmerman. Maria is the 93rd Kings Point resident to be arrested since 2023, the 44th since the start of 2025, and the 9th this year.
Zimmerman, 56, was arrested by the Boca Raton Police Department at the Broken Sound Old Golf Course at 5100 Old Course Way. She was taken into custody on March 2nd for allegedly driving under the influence. A witness called police after allegedly seeing Zimmerman crash her car into the side of the parking lot.
Boca Raton Police report that Zimmerman had a strong smell of alcohol, notably slurred speech, and difficulty keeping her eyes open. She also thought it was Tuesday even though it was Monday. She later had difficulty completing a series of field sobriety exercises.
Zimmerman, who lives in the “Brittany F” section of Kings Point, was taken into custody. Police say she provided breath samples that yielded alcohol content results of .146 and .147. The legal limit in Florida is .08. She was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail and later released pending a court date.

Zimmerman joins many — so many — Kings Point residents who have faced criminal charges in Palm Beach County. Among the arrestees: residents charged with sex crimes, violent crimes, domestic violence, child sex crimes, weapons offenses, DUI, drug possession and distribution, and more. Unofficial records maintained by BocaNewsNow.com suggest there is no other senior living community in South Palm Beach County that logs more resident arrests than Kings Point.
