Nadine Kaufmann Later Charged With DUI.
BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A woman with a tattoo on her buttocks is facing a DUI charge after she allegedly drove erratically in front of a Boca Raton Police Officer, then handed an officer Q-Tips and batteries when asked for her license. Nadine Kaufmann, 31, of Deerfield Beach was arrested on March 2nd. She is out of jail awaiting a court date.
According to the arrest report reviewed by BocaNewsNow.com, Kaufmann — a local boutique owner — was arrested in the early morning hours of March 2nd after a Boca Raton Police officer reportedly spotted her white Cadillac failing to stop at a red light, cutting across several lanes, and struggling to stay in its own lane of travel. The incident occurred at 40 SE 5th Street. According to the probable cause affidavit, when an officer asked the Deerfield Beach resident for her driver’s license and registration, she allegedly handed over a bag containing Q-tips and batteries instead.
Responding officers noted that Kaufmann’s speech was heavily slurred and that an “overwhelming odor” of an unknown alcoholic beverage was coming from her breath. Kaufmann then allegedly refused to participate in any field sobriety tasks, even after being warned of the potential legal consequences. Once transported to the Boca Raton Police Department booking facility, she allegedly continued her refusal by declining to provide a breath sample for alcohol testing. Police say that she later refused to sign her DUI citation and court summons, despite being informed that the signature was not an admission of guilt but a requirement of the law.
Kaufmann now faces several misdemeanor charges, including DUI, refusal to submit to testing, and willfully refusing to sign a summons. During the booking process she requested a medical evaluation, though paramedics found her vitals to be normal. She was eventually transported to the Palm Beach County Jail. A court date is set for April 6th. When asked about body markings on the jail intake form, she wrote that she has a heart tattoo on the “bottom of her buttocks.”
