Found In Car Behind Closed Building On Florida Atlantic University Campus.

Officers conducting routine security checks on PSI Drive spotted a black Jeep facing north with a driver inside using a cell phone around 6:48 a.m. When an officer approached to check on the driver’s welfare, she reportedly fumbled with her keys and spoke incoherently.
The driver, identified as 43-year-old Dora Isabel Santana, allegedly told investigators she had pulled into the parking lot to start drinking before heading home from work. The responding officer noted that Santana’s speech was slurred, her eyes appeared red and glassy, and a strong odor of alcohol was coming from her breath. When asked to step out of the vehicle, she reportedly stumbled twice while walking toward the rear of the car.
According to the arrest report, Santana failed several field sobriety exercises, including the walk-and-turn and one-leg stand tasks. Police noted she was unable to stay in the starting position, missed nearly every heel-to-toe step, and used her arms for balance. Although she initially denied drinking, she was taken into custody just after 7 a.m. and transported to a testing facility.

At the Palm Beach County Breath Alcohol Testing facility, Santana provided two breath samples that registered at .248 and .249 — more than three times the legal limit of.08. She was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail on a charge of driving under the influence. She was later released on $1000 bond pending a court date.
