From A1A to Atlantic Avenue, I-95 to the Turnpike, Atlantic Avenue to U.S. 441, it seems very few routes will be trouble-free. Here’s what state and local agencies shared with BocaNewsNow.com for the week starting Sunday, March 15, 2026:
CRITICAL I-95 RAMP & INTERCHANGE ALERT
I-95 at Boynton Beach Boulevard Interchange Improvements
• I-95 Mainline: One lane closed at 8 p.m.; up to three lanes closed 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday through Thursday night. A fourth lane may be closed overnight as needed.
• Boynton Beach Blvd: One lane closed in each direction, 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday night through Saturday night.
• Westbound Turn Lane to I-95 SB: Closed 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday through Thursday night. Detour via W. Industrial Ave. to U-turn to eastbound Boynton Beach Blvd.
• Traffic Pattern Change: The I-95 southbound exit ramp does not have a free-flowing right turn lane onto westbound Boynton Beach Blvd. All traffic must stop on red at the traffic signal.
FULL NIGHTLY RAMP CLOSURES (9 p.m. – 6 a.m., Sunday–Thursday)
• NB Exit to Boynton Beach Blvd: Detour via Woolbright Road, east to U.S. 1, and north to Boynton Beach Blvd.
• SB Exit to Boynton Beach Blvd: Detour via Gateway Blvd, east to U.S. 1, and south to Boynton Beach Blvd.
• NB Entrance from Boynton Beach Blvd: Detour via Boynton Beach Blvd east to U.S. 1 or west to Congress Ave, then north to Gateway Blvd.
• SB Entrance from Boynton Beach Blvd: Detour via Boynton Beach Blvd east to U.S. 1 or west to Congress Ave, then south to Woolbright Road.
HIGH FRICTION RAMP WORK (8 p.m. – 6 a.m. Closure)
• Sunday, March 22: NB On-Ramp from Eastbound Okeechobee Blvd. Detour via Okeechobee Blvd east to a U-turn at Parker Avenue, west on Okeechobee Blvd, and north onto the I-95 on-ramp. Monday and Tuesday will serve as contingency dates.
BOCA RATON / DELRAY BEACH / HIGHLAND BEACH
U.S. 441/S.R. 7 (Glades Road to Bridgebrook Drive)
• One outside lane in each direction closed intermittently, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
S.R. A1A/South Ocean Blvd (Linton Blvd to Atlantic Avenue)
• One lane in each direction closed, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. Flaggers will direct traffic.
S.R. A1A/South Ocean Blvd Resurfacing (Delray Beach to Highland Beach)
• One lane in each direction closed intermittently, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday and Monday through Friday.
S.R. 806/Atlantic Avenue Reconstruction
• U.S. 441/S.R. 7: Various single lane closures in both directions between Rio Grande Ave and 105th Drive South, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. (daytime) and 8:30 p.m. to 7 a.m. (nighttime), Sunday through Friday.
• Atlantic Avenue: One lane closed in each direction between Lyons Road and the Turnpike, 8:30 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday through Thursday.
• Smith Sundy Road: One lane closed in each direction between Storage Zone Gate and Atlantic Ave, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
• Sidewalk Closures: Westbound sidewalk on the north side of Atlantic Ave (Lyons to Turnpike) and the northbound sidewalk (Atlantic to Saturnia Isles) are CLOSED.
Atlantic Avenue & Homewood Boulevard Intersection
• One lane in each direction closed intermittently, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
• Night Work: Intermittent lane closures for mast arm installation, 9 p.m. Thursday until 6 a.m. Friday.
CENTRAL PALM BEACH COUNTY
Boynton Beach Blvd (Orchid Grove Trail to Palm Isles Drive)
• One outside single lane closed intermittently, 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., Monday through Friday.
• Two eastbound lanes closed from Orchid Grove to Hagen Ranch Road, 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., Monday through Friday.
S.R. A1A Boynton Inlet Bridge
• All lanes and sidewalks currently open.
S.R. A1A/South Ocean Blvd (Lake Avenue to Ibis Way)
• One lane closed with flagging, daily 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and nightly 8 p.m. to 7 a.m., Sunday night through Friday.
• Lake Avenue: One lane closed in each direction west of A1A during the same daytime and nighttime windows.
S.R. A1A/South Ocean Blvd (Emerald Beach Way to Royal Palm Way)
• One lane closed with flagging, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
• Traffic Note: Vehicles approaching the Mar-a-Lago traffic circle must yield; those inside the circle have the right-of-way.
Okeechobee Blvd & Haverhill Rd Intersection
• Various lane closures in all directions, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. (or 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. for certain directions), Monday through Friday.
NORTHERN PALM BEACH COUNTY
Beeline Highway (S.R. 710) Reconstruction
• Beeline Hwy: Various lane closures daily (7 a.m. to 6 p.m.) and nightly (8 p.m. to 6 a.m.) between Northlake Blvd and Blue Heron Blvd.
• FULL RAMP CLOSURE: Northwest ramp to eastbound Northlake Blvd is closed (anticipated reopening Spring 2026).
• Left Turn Closure: Southeast Beeline Hwy left turn to eastbound Blue Heron Blvd closed around-the-clock through May 2026. Detour via Military Trail.
U.S. 1/S.R. 5 Roadway Improvements
• One outside lane closed daily (9 a.m. to 4 p.m.) and nightly (9 p.m. to 7 a.m.), Monday through Friday.
• Sidewalk Closure: NB U.S. 1 from Access Road to W 11th Street closed through June 2026.
• Corner Closures: Southwest corner at Silver Beach Road and northeast/southeast corners at Blue Heron Blvd closed through Friday, March 20.
U.S. 1 Earman River Bridge Replacement
• NB traffic shifted to the SB bridge; two lanes open in each direction.
• Traffic Shift: SB traffic will be shifted to the new NB bridge the week of March 16; two travel lanes will remain open in each direction.
• Marine Impact: Earman River channel is CLOSED through Spring 2027.
Alternate A1A (RCA Blvd to Donald Ross Road)
• Intermittent lane and sidewalk closures, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
• NB left lane closed 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday through Thursday night.
PGA Boulevard (Palm Beach Gardens)
• Intermittent lane and sidewalk closures on the NB I-95 off-ramp and eastbound PGA Blvd, weekdays 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., through April 3.
WESTERN PALM BEACH COUNTY
S.R. 80/Southern Boulevard & U.S. 441 Ramps
• One outside lane in each direction on S.R. 7/U.S. 441 closed intermittently, Monday through Friday, for signalization work.
• Sidewalk Closure: Northeast and southeast sidewalks at S.R. 7 and Southern Blvd closed continuously beginning March 23 through Summer 2026.
U.S. 27/S.R. 25 (EAA Reservoir Canal Bridges)
• Intermittent single lane closures, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
• Note: Traffic shifted east through Dec 31. Speed limit reduced to 55 mph.
S.R. 15/E Main Street (Pahokee)
• This project was finalized and accepted by the FDOT on Friday, March 6, 2026. Remaining work may have intermittent closures 8 a.m. to 6 p.m..
S.R. 80/Cross State Highway
• Single lane closures west of S.R. 715/Spooner Road, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Thursday.
FLORIDA’S TURNPIKE (S.R. 91)
• Boynton Beach Blvd (Exit 86): Ongoing interchange construction through early 2026.
• Southern Blvd: Westbound inside lane closed continuously through May 2026 near the Turnpike entrance.
• FULL ROAD CLOSURE (ADVANCE NOTICE): Westbound Southern Blvd at the Turnpike entrance will close Thursday, March 12, 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.. Contingency dates are March 16–17.
• Okeechobee Blvd: Single lane closures between Vista Parkway and West Drive, 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (weekdays) and 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Saturdays), March 16 through March 28.
