BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A reminder to parents, guardians, and anyone driving in Palm Beach County: schools are closed for the week. This includes all Palm Beach County School District public schools and private schools.
It is Spring Break time across the region. On the upside: traffic should be slightly better over the next several days as school buses won’t be clogging the streets. On the downside, lots of kids may be running around in their communities or in places where you don’t normally see them. We encourage you to be extra careful as you drive around — especially as what are arguably bad parents let their kids ride e-bikes without any supervision.
Private schools return to school next Monday. The Palm Beach County School District, however, gives teachers an extra “planning” day following a week-long break — so public school does not resume until Tuesday, March 24th.
The public school district will remain in session for at least a few days until April 3rd. That’s when students and teachers will again be off for “Spring Holiday.”
