A Mercedes “G-Wagon” is the subject of a major lawsuit just filed in Palm Beach County.

PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A $206,000 G-Wagon is the center of a lawsuit just filed by Mercedes-Benz Financial Services against a Palm Beach County man who is allegedly refusing to pay for the vehicle — and allegedly has it hidden. Arthur Schwabe is accused of failing to keep up with payments on a 2024 Mercedes-Benz G63W4. The vehicle, a powerhouse often referred to as a”G-Wagon,” carries a staggering estimated value of $177,000.00.

According to the complaint just filed by Mercedes and obtained by BocaNewsNow.com, Arthur Schwabe agreed to the $206,000 purchase price back in March of 2024. He put down $77,500 as a down payment and agreed to make regular payments. But Mercedes-Benz claims that the payments simply stopped coming, leading the company to declare a breach of contract.  In the filing, Mercedes-Benz isn’t just asking for the missing cash; they want the truck back. The company has filed a “replevin” count, which is a legal way of demanding the immediate recovery of personal property.

They allege that while they have demanded Schwabe surrender the G-Wagon, he is currently “unlawfully and wrongfully detaining” it somewhere in Palm Beach County.  The car maker’s finance arm is seeking a total judgment of $185,199.01 to cover the unpaid principal, interest, and legal costs. As of now, the court has been asked to order Schwabe to hand over the keys to the 577-horsepower beast “forthwith.”

No word yet from Schwabe’s camp on where the vehicle is or why the payments hit the brakes.
