
BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A crash at a major intersection in West Boca Raton Wednesday evening closed the intersection for nearly an hour but incredibly resulted in just one injury that required hospitalization.
The crash, at the intersection of Glades and Lyons, was first reported around 6:50 p.m. on Wednesday. Based on initial calls from witnesses, Palm Beach County Fire Rescue dispatched nearly 10 units to the scene — including four ambulances and a separate paramedic crew.
On the scene, however, initial reports to BocaNewsNow.com indicate that while seven people were involved in the crash, only one of the seven was injured. That person is believed to be man in his late 20s or early 30s. He was rushed to West Boca Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries.
It was not immediately clear what caused the crash. The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office is investigating. The intersection was reopened before 8 p.m. Wednesday.
