BOYNTON BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A New York man identified through his social media profile as an executive director of operations with Oppenheimer And Company is facing multiple charges in Palm Beach County after police say he traveled to Florida specifically to meet someone he believed was a 15-year-old boy for sex. Geoffrey Alexander Gordon, 50, was arrested Wednesday afternoon at Intracoastal Park in Boynton Beach. The arrest concluded an undercover investigation by the Boynton Beach Police Department targeting the solicitation of minors.

According to a probable cause affidavit reviewed by BocaNewsNow.com, the investigation began when an undercover detective, posing as a teenager on the messaging app Sniffies, was contacted by a user identified as “Registered Cruiser”. Police later identified that user as Gordon. The conversation eventually moved to text messages, where the detective repeatedly emphasized the child’s age, mentioning things like being in school, not having a car, and having a substitute teacher. Despite these clear indications of age, Gordon allegedly continued to send sexually explicit messages and coordinated a time to meet.

The meeting was set for approximately 2:30 p.m. on March 11th at the park located at 138 Harbors Way. Gordon arrived at the location at 1425 hours and was immediately taken into custody. After being read his rights, police say Gordon admitted he met the “boy” online and had made a mistake, though he eventually stopped answering questions and requested a lawyer once the conversation turned to the specific apps used.

Gordon, who lists a permanent residence as the Madison Avenue near 27th Stret in Manhattan, now faces several charges including: traveling to meet a minor for sex, solicitation of a minor to engage in sexual conduct, and the unlawful use of a two-way communication device. He was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail on March 12th and later released on bond but required to stay in Palm Beach County.
