Boyfriend Found In Bed. Tased While Getting Dressed… Butter Knife Allegedly Used Too…

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Hell hath no fury like a Boca mom who finds a boy in her daughter’s bed. That’s the apparent takeaway from the arrest of Veronica Karlsson who is now facing charges after an incident involving a stun gun. Karlsson, 55, was taken into custody by Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office deputies at a residence on Venetian Avenue. The incident apparently began when Karlsson discovered her daughter’s ex-boyfriend in her daughter’s bedroom and demanded he leave the premises immediately.
According to a probable cause affidavit reviewed by BocaNewsNow.com, Karlsson allegedly returned to the bedroom armed with both a butter knife and a taser. While Karlsson initially claimed she only pointed the device at the man’s knee through bedsheets, witness accounts and video evidence suggest that Karlsson blocked the doorway and used the taser on the man while he was attempting to get dressed and leave.
The ex-boyfriend provided investigators with a video recording captured on his cell phone, which reportedly showed Karlsson repeatedly activating the taser in a “dry stun” manner while he was still on the bed. He told deputies he was struck approximately five to six times on his leg and torso. Although Palm Beach County Fire Rescue evaluated the man at the scene, they noted there were no visible marks consistent with taser contact on his body at that time.

Karlsson, a kitchen designer originally from Sweden, was charged with one count of open carrying of an electric weapon or device. She was transported to the Palm Beach County Jail where she was booked and released pending a court date in April.
Ed. Note: “Stun Gun” and “Taser” are both used in the police report. Taser is actually a brand. We are unsure if the alleged weapon was the brand named “Taser” or a generic stun gun.
