Buildings across South Florida will soon glow red for the American Red Cross.

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — In honor of National Red Cross Month and the upcoming American Red Cross Giving Day on March 25, iconic buildings across Downtown Miami, Brickell, and surrounding areas will once again glow red in a powerful show of support for the lifesaving mission of the American Red Cross. Coordinated by the American Red Cross South Florida Region, this annual tradition brings together the city’s most recognizable landmarks to raise awareness and inspire community involvement during the organization’s biggest month of recognition.

The skyline will feature a crimson hue from several major sites, including the Freedom Tower, Miami Tower, Brickell World Plaza, and the Pérez Art Museum Miami. Other participating locations include the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science, Kaseya Center, and PortMiami, along with the headquarters for Royal Caribbean International and Norwegian Cruise Line. The Polsinelli Building and Paramount World Center are also joining the effort to highlight the work of volunteers who serve the South Florida community.

Deborah Koch, Executive Director of the Greater Miami & The Keys Chapter, expressed her gratitude for the”tremendous support” from the Miami community. She noted that the month-long celebration is dedicated to the volunteers who make up more than 90 percent of the Red Cross workforce. These individuals provide a backbone for the organization, responding to local disasters like home fires, supporting blood drives, and assisting military families whenever a crisis strikes.

Red Cross Month carries a long history, first proclaimed by President Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1943 to honor those who provide relief and hope to families in need. As the month of impact continues, the Red Cross is calling on neighbors to come together on Giving Day to help fund essential services. Every donation goes toward providing food, shelter, and emotional support to people affected by disasters across South Florida and beyond.
