Check with your airline if you are flying from, to LGA Airport in New York City.

BROWARD COUNTY, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — All flights Monday morning from FLL, PBI, and MIA to and from LaGuardia Airport in New York City are canceled or very delayed. An Air Canada regional jet slammed into a LGA Airport Fire/Rescue truck late Sunday. Two pilots on the Air Canada flight were killed.

The Air Canada flight was landing at LaGuardia at the time of the crash. At least 70 people were on the jet. Several passengers were injured. Firefighters on the firetruck were also injured.

LaGuardia is closed to all air traffic until at least 2 p.m. That means no flights from any South Florida airport — including Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International, Miami International, or Palm Beach International, will depart for LaGuardia until close to noon at the earliest, and no flights from LGA will arrive in South Florida until after 4:30 p.m.

The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the crash. Check with your airline for real-time updates.
