BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Two women staying at a Boca Raton hotel were allegedly threatened by a woman with a gun trying to sell drugs — at least according to a police report obtained by BocaNewsNow.com.
Teri Christa Odea, 49, was arrested in the early morning hours of March 13th following the confrontation at the Boca Plaza Hotel located at 2901 North Federal Highway.
The victims, according to their statements, were struggling with a room key and knocking on their door to wake up roommates when Odea began shouting at them from the first floor. Despite the victims telling Odea they didn’t know her and weren’t interested in what she was offering, investigators say she continued to approach them. Odea allegedly got very close, then reached into her purse, pulled out a black 9mm handgun, and pointed it at the women several times while threatening to shoot.
The victims managed to flee to the hotel lobby to call 911. Arriving officers found Odea attempting to run away behind the building. Investigators reviewed hotel security footage, which allegedly showed Odea tossing a bag containing the loaded Taurus Millennium G2 firearm into a trash can. When later confronted with the video evidence while in custody, Odea offered a profane admission to officers, indicating she was already aware they had caught her on camera.

Teri Odea, a resident of NE Fifth Avenue in Boca Raton, is being held on multiple charges, including two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill. She is a seven-time convicted felon.
