DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) (April 1, 2026) — Developers of a new community in Delray Beach say they’re ready to break ground. Named “Valuncia,” the community takes its name from a popular orange, while referencing the “United Nations” — all in one word. It’s a new concept that the builder — which asked to remain anonymous for now — says is needed during challenging times.

“We want to build a community that is open to everyone,” said a spokesperson for the company. “We envision a place where people from all religions, all races, all backgrounds, all sexualites, all financial situations work and live in peace and harmony. It seems every community in the West Delray/West Boca area is full of the same people. We want to change that. And in our community, people only need to pay what they can afford to own one of our homes.”

How is that possible? It’s all part of the Trump Administration’s “Empathy Generates Opportunity” or “Trump EGO Act.” It’s partially funded by financial judgments received by President Trump and his family while in office.

“We were so thrilled that the family stepped up,” said the builder. “It means so much to so many people.”

The application process has been quietly underway for quite some time. Apparently fearing long term litigation, families that were inappropriately detained by Immigrations and Customs Enforcement are being offered the ability to secure a home in this community. As an added incentive to not sue the government, Veluncia is an “ICE-Free” zone.

“No one really talks about these special zones,” said the builder, “but they exist, and we are so thrilled that we have been approved for an ICE-Free zone right here in West Delray Beach. Our homeowners can live happily, regardless of of immigration status. It is truly the American Dream.”

The builder expects to construct 495 homes within 18 months, ranging in size from 2,000 square feet to 5,500 square feet (under air). This is also expected to be a test community for Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ plan to cease property taxes in the state. No one living in Veluncia will ever have to pay property taxes.

“It is amazing what can happen when politicians come together for a common goal,” said the builder’s representative.
