UPDATE 1:24 p.m. — Traffic remains backed up for what appears to be a mile approaching the scene but it is in the clear stages. This is our final update on this crash.
UPDATE at 12:25 p.m. — Good news — just one person was injured and apparently not critically. The bad news: it’s going to take a while to remove the vehicles, including the overturned car. Expect significant traffic issues on I-95 for probably the next 45 minutes or so.
UPDATE: BocaNewsNow.com has learned that five vehicles are involved in the crash.
BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A major crash on I-95 in Boca Raton is slowing traffic mid-day Friday.
It appears that a vehicle has overturned in the soutbound express lanes just south of Clint Moore Road. A truck also appears to be involved — notable as trucks are not allowed in the express lanes.
We are awaiting word on injuries. We know that multiple fire rescue units have been sent to the scene. While I-95 remains open in the area, traffic is being diverged to what appears to be just two lanes. That is creating a major bottleneck.
Check back for updates.
