BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s office issued hundreds of citations and warnings on Super Bowl Sunday as Deputies took part in an aggressive driving enforcement operation.
The operation focused on unincorporated portions of Palm Beach County. For those new to the area, those are the parts of Palm Beach County with names like “Boca Raton” and “Delray Beach,” but don’t actually fall in either of those cities. While not a hard and fast rule, “unincorporated” portions of these areas tend to run west of Military Trail.
According to PBSO, ten criminal citations were issued, 147 traffic citations were issued, and 101 traffic warnings were issued — all on Sunday between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
The agency explained, “The purpose of this operation is to enforce Florida State Statutes for speeding and aggressive driving and to educate the public on the dangers of excessive speed and aggressive driving.”
