BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A mishap near a dressing room at the Nordstrom in Boca Raton’s Town Center Mall is leading to a major lawsuit just filed in Palm Beach County Circuit Court.

BocaNewsNow.com obtained the suit that claims Connie Chiarvallotti was not expecting something to be on the floor as she went to the dressing room to try on clothes back in March of 2022.

“Plaintiff Connie Chiarvatlotti, while exercising due care and caution for her own safety was, lawfully on the Defendant’s property when she was injured due to the negligence of the Defendant, Nordstrom, Inc. Chiarvalloti was walking towards the fitting rooms to try on an item when she was caused to trip and fall due to a transitory foreign object on the floor.”

While the specific object is not listed in the suit, the complaint does allege that Chiaravalloti sustained, “bodily injury resulting in severe physical pain and suffering, disability, disfigurement, mental anguish, loss of capacity for enjoyment of life, expense of hospitalization, medical and nursing care and treatment, aggravation of preexisting injuries.”

The suit seeks in excess of $50,000 — the statutory minimum for filing in Palm Beach County Circuit Court. No response was immediately filed by attorneys for Nordstrom.
