DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A woman is dead after being struck by a Brightline Train Tuesday evening in Delray Beach. Delray Beach PD is now asking for witnesses come forward. The department issued this statement to BocaNewsNow.com.
“The Delray Beach Police Department is actively investigating a tragic incident involving a pedestrian and a Brightline train that occurred on Tuesday, March 5, at approximately 11:30 p.m. The incident took place in downtown Delray Beach on Atlantic Avenue, where witnesses reported a collision between a female pedestrian and a southbound Brightline train.
According to initial reports, the collision occurred while the gates were down, signaling the approach of the train. Witnesses described the pedestrian as being on the tracks before the crash. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency personnel.

I hope she was not depressed and trying to end her life. Just recently moved here from out of state and cannot believe how many people here drive around the gates or walk on railroad tracks….
