DeSantis Deploys State Agents To Florida Keys, Other Areas To Stop Haitians Seeking Assistance As Country Overrun By Gangs.

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Florida Governor Ron DeSantis says Haitians fleeing their country amidst violence — as armed gangs roam the streets and indiscriminately kill — are not welcome in Florida. The DeSantis administration issued this advisory to BocaNewsNow.com:
Official Statement From Florida Governor Ron DeSantis
In anticipation of a potential influx of illegal immigrants from Haiti, Governor Ron DeSantis has ordered additional state assets to the Keys and southern waters of the State of Florida.
“For quite some time, the State of Florida has been dedicating significant resources to combat illegal vessels coming to Florida from countries such as Haiti,” said Governor Ron DeSantis. “Given the circumstances in Haiti, I have directed the Division of Emergency Management, the Florida State Guard, and state law enforcement agencies to deploy over 250 additional officers and soldiers and over a dozen air and sea craft to the southern coast of Florida to protect our state. No state has done more to supplement the (under-resourced) U.S. Coast Guard’s interdiction efforts; we cannot have illegal aliens coming to Florida.”
Currently, state agencies have security and surveillance assets in South Florida and the Keys as a part of Operation Vigilant Sentry to stop illegal immigration at sea. The governor’s directive today will send additional personnel and assets from the following agencies:
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement: 39 additional officers.
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission: 23 additional officers with eight additional seacraft.
The Florida National Guard: 48 additional Guardsmen with four additional helicopters.
The Florida Highway Patrol: 30 additional officers with an additional aircraft and drones for surveillance.
Governor DeSantis will also today authorize a deployment of the Florida State Guard to the Keys to assist in the operation. This deployment includes up to 133 soldiers.
Illegal immigrants feel empowered to enter the sovereign territory of the United States because of the federal government’s refusal to diligently enforce our immigration laws and protect the integrity of the border. When a state faces the possibility of invasion, it has the right and duty to defend its territory and people. Under Governor Ron DeSantis, Florida will act.

Good. Illegals not welcome, period.
Guess it’s better for the ” illegals ” to stay home and await rape, thievery or death at home, right ?
Have them move into your house Bob.
What you’re really saying its better for US citizens stay home and await rape, thievery or death at home because of illegals.
How about they do something about those problem in their country and make it better, rather than exporting it here?
Thank goodness he is finally standing up to something worthwhile. We have way too many illegals here in the US. I say get rid of them, especially gang related. The crime is too high.
I applaud the Governor’s decision to halt any illegals. We are experiencing a flood of drugs, disease and violence: it should stop!
Why not ask Haitians to stay home and fight for their own country? Why should Americans (Floridians) bare the cost of their lack of patriotism for their own country?
What self centered horrible comments, inhumane is an understatement. Haitian people are some of the hardest working people. What’s happening is horrible and heartbreaking. Remembering what my Mother always said… “There but for the grace of God go I” clearly most here don’t understand that…. really sad.
I wonder if the Dominican Republic feels the same… or South America and Mexico towards Central Americans… or Egypt towards Palestinians. The whole UN refugee plan is not about saving people from harm’s way, rather an international intentional redistribution of wealth, by arbitrarily relocating people across the world where they wouldn’t be any better culturally without welfare payments, and placing the burden on wealthy nations like the United States and those in Western Europe. Alas, the poorer ones don’t even get any better, and only those in the UN becomes richer. No amount of fallacies about a host country being a “nation of immigrants” or atonement for colonialism validates anything.
Thank you Governor DeSantis!
Go figure. Although Ronda has a law degree and has practiced law (in the military), he fails to grasp that immigration and sovereignty laws are at the Federal government level. States can’t claim sovereignty unless they secede from the union/nation. As a lawyer, Ronda knows this, but he also knows that accountability and/or justice, for signing unconstitutional laws or violating federal laws, is entirely nonexistent.
The US, and international community (including, and mostly/indirectly, France), should contribute to stabilize Haiti. Haiti has gone through a seemingly endless bout of politicians [and coups] that just want to scam and loot the citizens. While they don’t need foreigners and foreign governments to tell [and force them] how to run their government, something must be done to install a President and PM that will work for a prosperous people and nation.
Thank god! We are already being invaded from the southern border!
