DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Leonard Brown, a resident of the Burgandy section of the Delray Beach senior living community of Kings Point, is the latest resident to be arrested. Brown becomes the 5th arrest of 2024, and the 27th arrest since January of 2023.

Brown is accused of violating a domestic violence protection injunction. He was arrested on March 31st by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office. He’ seeing held on $10,000 bond. We note that Brown is 54 — significantly younger than the traditional senior living community resident.

Leonard Brown continues the trend of Kings Point Delray Beach residents ending up in the Palm Beach County Jail. Residents this year alone have been accused of burglary, drug possession, battery, and resisting arrest with violence.

Among the arrests in 2023: residents accused of drug dealing, drunk driving, sex offenses, battery, a man who allegedly shot at someone for walking their dog on a golf course, a woman who resisted arrest, and more. Read our Kings Point Delray Beach coverage here. We believe there are more arrests of Kings Point Delray Beach residents than residents of any other senior living community in south Palm Beach County.

  1. Looks like there’ll be a decline in arrests this year– they’re on pace for “only” 15 arrests!

C’mon Kings Point don’t lose your “crown” to the “Bridges”.

    1. Better Security to be enforced!!!! I’ve seen for myself they hardly check ur ID…… AND need to hv better ways went these people buy or rent….Know their history!!!!

  2. Anybody wanna start a betting pool for the day of the next arrest, total arrests this year, and what community will prevail in the “South Palm County Criminal Olympics – Senior Division” Title ? 😄

  3. There are 7200 condos in KP, more than 11,000 residents. 27 arrests since January 2023 – sounds like a very low percentage to me. This Boca rag just loves to publish anything negative they can find against KP. What a joke this paper is.

  4. This so called news source is getting ridiculous with their “crime reporting”. Statistically the crime rate is lower than any community yet we rarely see stories reflecting that. Anonymous hit jobs are the norm for this rag yet they ask for our names and email addresses in order to post a comment.
