Judith McGraw Arrested, Now Facing Charge.

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Boca Raton resident Judith McGraw was allegedly having a stop sign issue while driving in Delray Beach. That led to a traffic stop by Delray Beach Police in which she allegedly admitted to drinking before driving. McGraw is now facing a charge of Driving Under The Influence.
The Delray Beach Police Department logged this report: “On 05/11/2024, while stopped inside of a parking lot at 55 SE 2nd Ave, I observed a black Hummer bearing FL Tag 275HFZ traveling southbound on SE 2nd Ave, approaching a stop sign at the intersection of SE 1st Ave. The vehicle did not make a complete stop behind the stop bar before the vehicle to make a left turn onto SE 1st Ave (eastbound). While traveling eastbound on first, the vehicle began approaching another stop sign located at SE 3rd Ave. The vehicle failed to make a complete stop before continuing eastbound. Upon approaching a steady red traffic signal at SE 5th Ave, the vehicle veered toward the left driving in the center of the roadway. The vehicle then stopped and proceeded to conduct a wide right turn onto the left lane on SE 5th Ave (One-Way Street Southbound). The vehicle then entered into the right lane and continued southbound before I conducted a traffic stop in the 500-blk of SE 5th Ave. The vehicle came to a final stop in the 600-blk of SE 5th Ave. Upon approaching the vehicle, I met with driver Judith McGraw and two other occupants.
I notified her of the reason for the stop and asked her driver’s license, registration, and insurance. McGraw advised that she did not have her driver’s license but would be able to provide the insurance and registration. I asked for her name (Judy McGraw- name given) and date of birth in order to run her through NCIC/FCIC. During my contact with McGraw, I noticed that she had slurred speech and I could smell an odor of alcohol emanating from her breathe as she spoke. I returned to my vehicle and ran her through NCIC/FCIC; however, nothing came up.
I went back to the vehicle and asked her to step out of the car in order to verify her information. She complied and advised that her full name was Judith McGraw. I ran her through NCIC/FCIC again, but nothing came up again. I asked if she had a FL DL, and she stated that her DL was from Rhode Island. I ran her on Channel 2 via DBPD Teletype. They advised that her DL was valid, and she had no warrants. I notified McGraw that I suspect her of driving while under the influence and asked if she had any drinks today. She stated that she had been drinking.”
McGraw, according to the report, failed multiple field sobriety tests. She later refused to provide a breath or blood sample. That leads to an automatic license suspension. A court date is pending. McGraw lists Appleby Street in Boca Raton as her home address.
