BOYNTON BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Boynton Beach resident Ricki Raczkowski is facing a lawsuit filed by American Express. Amex says Raczkowski hasn’t paid her Platinum Card bill in several months, and now owes more than $50,000.

The suit, just filed in Palm Beach County Circuit Court, alleges that Raczkowski last paid her bill late last year. She incurred a late fee in January and had apparently been carrying a balance of $49,204.73. Part of the balance: a cash advance of $7,255.88. American Express now wants its money back. All of it.

The current balance, with fees and interest, is listed as $56,500.61. Amex says it was due on February 18th but has apparently received nothing from Raczkowski since then. It would take 17 years of making a minimum payment to pay-off the balance. Interest, according to American Express, would run roughly $19,000.

Raczkowski’s home is valued at $500,000, according to the Palm Beach County Property appraiser. Amex is represented by its in-house counsel. There is no attorney listed as of early Tuesday for Raczkowski.
