BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Get ready for the rainy season to finally be rainy. Boca Raton, Delray Beach, Boynton Beach, and much of South Palm Beach County will be wet this week as the first week of the Atlantic Hurricane Season gets under way.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service are calling for a rainy night Sunday night with thunderstorms possible after 2 a.m. The low Sunday into Monday will be in the upper 70s. Hail is possible. Monday will be rainy in the morning with thunderstorms likely the rest of the day. Rainfall totals up to half an inch are possible.

The rain watch continues Monday night into Tuesday when more thunderstorms are expected with a high in the upper 80s. Showers continue Tuesday night into Wednesday, Wednesday night into Thursday, and Thursday night into Friday. Expect a high each day in the upper 80s to low 90s, with overnight lows in the upper 70s.

There is no activity right now in the Tropical Atlantic. The Hurricane Season started on Saturday and is predicted to be among the worst on record for all regions prone to hurricanes during Atlantic season.
