BOYNTON BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — An early morning shooting in Boynton Beach left one person injured and others under arrest. The Boynton Beach Police Department issued a statement to BocaNewsNow.com just after 5 p.m. Monday:
The Boynton Beach Police Department is currently investigating a shooting that occurred in the early hours this morning.
At approximately 4:53 AM, a 42-year-old male victim was leaving his residence in the 700 block of New Lake Drive to go to work when unknown individuals, opened fire. The victim sustained two non-life- threatening gunshot wounds.
In addition to the victim’s injury, several apartments and seven vehicles in the vicinity were also struck by bullets. Fortunately, no further injuries have been reported at this time. The suspects fled the area immediately after the shooting. Boynton Beach Police Detectives quickly identified a suspect vehicle and promptly notified local agencies.
Thanks to the assistance of the Florida Highway Patrol and the West Palm Beach Police Department, the suspect vehicle believed to be involved in the shooting was located in the West Palm Beach area around 1:30 PM. Two suspects were apprehended, and two firearms were recovered. The investigation is still ongoing at this time.
