BROWARD COUNTY, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Two people were shot in Deerfield Beach Thursday. The Broward Sheriff’s Office just confirmed to BocaNewsNow.com a story we’ve been monitoring after tips from the law enforcement community a few hours ago.
According to BSO: At approximately 4:57 p.m. Broward Sheriff’s Office Deerfield Beach District deputies and Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue responded to a possible shooting call near the 800 block of Southwest Second Avenue in Deerfield Beach. On scene, emergency crews located a male subject suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
The victim was transported to an area hospital with injuries listed as not life-threatening. While on scene, deputies learned another male victim had responded to a nearby hospital after being shot. Detectives with BSO’s Crime Scene and Violent Crimes Units were notified to investigate. During the investigation, detectives learned that the actual shooting took place near the 100 block of Southwest Third Street in Deerfield Beach. The circumstances surrounding this incident remain under investigation.
